It is, of course, the first title since EA Sports' split with FIFA, but all the usual faces will be in the game, as well as the iconic Ultimate Team, classic Career Mode along with a few new features too.

Erling Haaland is the face of EA Sports FC 24 and it is generally accepted that cover stars tend to be the best, or among of the best in the game. With a rating of 91, the Manchester City striker's rating has risen by three from what it was in FIFA 23. He is not as quick as Mbappe, but is considerably stronger.

Lionel Messi remains one of the highest-rated players in EA Sports FC 24, with a rating of 90 in the new game. The World Cup winner recently moved to MLS with Inter Miami, but his powers have barely waned, with a drop of just one from FIFA 23.
Messi has had a rating of 90-plus since FIFA 09, with a peak rating of 94 (FIFA 12, FIFA 13, FIFA 14, FIFA 16, FIFA 19 and FIFA 20), but this latest decrease is the lowest rating he has had in over a decade. Nevertheless, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is still one of the best in the game.
